Purpose: To improve the economic performance of Wirral
Responsibilities
Wirral Economic Development Strategic Partnership will be responsible for:
- Developing, monitoring and evaluating key strategies pertaining to skills, employment and enterprise such as the Wirral Full Employment Strategy, Wirral Enterprise Strategy and the Wirral Sustainable Community Strategy.
- Developing cross agency strategic approaches to skills, jobs, adult learning and enterprise, including the securing, pooling and deployment of resources to ensure partnership working adds value to strategic outcomes.
- Ensuring Wirral contributes to and benefits from key strategies such as:
- Merseyside action plan
- Regional economic strategy
- Regional spatial strategy
- City region development plan
- City employment strategy
- New European operational programme ( ERDF and ESF)
- HMRI
- Adding value to these strategies through leading cross agency groups in developing action plans that will deliver identified strategic objectives.
